Come and sing songs from the Middle Ages with Leah Stuttard

Leah Stuttard, medieval harpist, singer, composer and teacher, invites singers to this workshop, which does not require music-reading skills. Singing will be largely "by ear", based on medieval manuscripts.

Time & Location

11 May 2024, 10:00 – 12:30

All Saints Church, Pembroke Rd, Clifton, Bristol BS8 3ED, UK

About the event

Leah Stuttard, medieval harpist, singer, composer and teacher, has performed at the York Early Music Festival, at the Southbank Centre in London, with the Italian medieval ensemble Micrologus and with Hesperion XXI in Spain.  Music sight-readers and non-readers are invited to this largely ‘by-ear’ workshop, singing from original and often beautifully decorated medieval manuscripts. Whether you sing in a ‘from memory’ community choir, are a good sight-reader or don’t read music at all, this is the perfect introduction to some very early music.

Please note that booking for this event will close on Monday 6th May 2024.

Admission: £5, or if you have a Festival Pass - click here to reserve your place. Advance booking is essential, as numbers are limited. Free admission for accompanied under‑16s.
